On Wednesday, we put a quick question to our Facebook fans about reviews and how they come into play when choosing which business to hire. The results we got were varied yet very interesting. Have a look at some of the responses below:

It all depends on the customer, really. There’s nothing wrong with hiring a new business provided that they’ve got the qualifications, are knowledgeable, professional, punctual, etc. — all the qualities that a competent business should have. However, if they’ve been in business for many years, you’re bound to wonder why they have no reviews posted on their profile – or on the web in general!

Reviews are beneficial to both businesses and customers. When you’re a customer, feedback is a way to let other customers and the business know-how happy (or unhappy) you have been with their service. As a business, feedback allows you to find out what’s important to your customers. Reviews also let the whole world know that you have customers and that your business is alive and doing well. On the flip side, negative feedback will be a warning flag to other customers, but it will give you a chance to get your act together.
