1. What does your business do?
We do all sorts of stuff; I guess we’ve been doing a lot of kitchen lighting, kitchen power, oven cook tops and garden lighting. It hasn’t really been one thing in particular.

2. On how many jobs have you quoted?
Literally hundreds.

3. How many new customers have you won?
I’d say we’ve probably won 1 out of 3 jobs we’ve quoted on. We’ve previously had 3 ServiceSeeking.com.au jobs on the go at the one time. 

4. Is ServiceSeeking.com.au successful in winning you work?
Well I’m working Friday and Saturday on ServiceSeeking.com.au jobs. The jobs have been from a couple of hundred dollars to a couple of thousand dollars, up to $6000. I’d say we’ve got maybe $30,000 worth of work in total from ServiceSeeking.com.au.

5. What about other types of marketing does your business do?
We’re on TrueLocal as well. We rely a lot on word of mouth stuff too. We have a website that we’re launching soon, but it’s not up yet.

6. How do they compare to ServiceSeeking.com.au
True Local has definitely been very valuable. We do get a lot of work through ServiceSeeking.com.au. 

7. Any tips for new businesses?
It’s important to be confident about the kind of work you can provide, be confident with customers as well. Also be straightforward and honest. If you are what you are, you won’t have any problems. It’s also important to be verified, this has won me lots of jobs. Get licensed and insured, it’s really important. The last thing, is be professional, polite and courteous with your customers and they’ll come back to you.
