What does your business do?
At the moment we’ve mainly been doing smaller jobs; taps, washers, toilets through ServiceSeeking.com.au. I like to put these jobs in between other jobs, mainly jobs that I can quote on and then complete in the one day.

On how many jobs have you quoted?
I’ve probably quoted on 30 to 40 I’d say.

How many new customers have you won?
We’ve won more than half.

Is ServiceSeeking.com.au successful in winning you work?
Yeah, the biggest I’ve won has been $6000 and the smallest has been $70. In total I’ve won about $10,000 worth. So yes it’s been very successful.

What other types of marketing does your business do?
I have used the paper, LocalBlue and SeekLocal.

How do they compare to ServiceSeeking.com.au?
ServiceSeeking has been the best place, because I can choose what I want to bid on. I can pick out the ones that suit my business and fit in with my schedule. It gives me flexibility.

Any tips for new businesses?
I think you need to be switched on about the internet and computers; only people who know about computer stuff are successful. Most tradies aren’t that confident with computers and it’s really important. You need to work on this. I’m really happy with ServiceSeeking.com.au even though there are things that can be improved.
