How did you hear about Service Seeking?
I heard about Service Seeking through my sister-in-law who was looking for a quote for a pest controller. I told her what I was quoted for our house to be sprayed, as I had recently called a few different pest controllers that I had found using an Internet search.
She told me she received much cheaper quotes through Service Seeking so I decided to get some quotes through the site and found that they were about $140 cheaper than the company I had originally booked in to do the job. I couldn’t believe how easy it was and how much I had saved.
What jobs did you list?
I placed 2 jobs, one was for a pest controller to spray our place for household pests and the second was for a plumber to fix a smelly drain we had in our ensuite and also to check some leaky taps.

For the pest controller, I received 1 quote, which was from the same company that did my sister-in-law's place, and I booked them. I received 4 quotes for plumbers.

For the pest controller I went with Drake Pest Control and the plumber I used was Plumb Perfect.
What made you select those particular businesses?
Drake Pest Control was the first quote I received. It was $140 cheaper than the telephone quote i got my searching for a service provider myself. They were very prompt in contacting me and my sister-in-law had a good experience using them. I decided to use Plumb Perfect based on the reviews people had placed on Service Seeking. They were not the cheapest quote but they were a verified business with some great reviews.
Were you happy with the services provided? Why?
Drake I was very happy with, he arrived on time, explained what he were going to do. He also gave me tips to reduce the amount of pests found outside, like cutting back some of the shrubs. The price was very reasonable.
I was also extremely happy with Plumb Perfect. Sam text me to let me know when he would be arriving, he turned up on time, introduced himself and dressed very professionally. I told him what our plumbing issues were and he explained what could be the problem. He said he would let me know what it would cost to fix if it was over the quoted price. Sam fixed our problem and also gave me advice on a few things. He could have potentially changed parts and charged me unnecessarily but he was very honest and let me know that I could wait a few more months before getting certain things fixed. He ended up charging me $80 less than what he originally quoted me! I would not hesitate contacting Sam again for any plumbing jobs in the future.
Would you list another job on Service Seeking?
Yes, I plan on putting all my jobs on there now as I have only had a positive experiences to date – it’s quick, easy and painless. I have already told family and friends about the site and they were very impressed and will also use it next time they need a quote.
