(June 27, 2017) With more than 400,000 tradesmen in Australia competing for work, what areas should a tradie target to increase their win rate on jobs? ServiceSeeking has answered this question with their latest data on the industries and areas around Perth with the lowest level of competition.
Below are the areas around Perth where tradies are in short supply. If tradesmen target these areas, they can increase their chances of winning work and open up “rivers of gold” – an uplift in win rate and higher revenue.
According to data submitted in FY17 Q3, competition levels for builders in Caversham are 43 per cent less than the Perth average, representing a real opportunity for builders in that suburb to win more jobs.
Carpenters should look towards Roleystone and Bassendean, as skilled Carpenters are harder to find there compared to other areas around Perth.
“Chippies have a great opportunity in the Perth Hills and the Eastern Suburbs to capitalise on a relative undersupply of good tradesmen,” says ServiceSeeking.com.au CEO Jeremy Levitt. “By targeting areas with low competition, Chippies can expect to win more jobs.”
Redcliffe has an undersupply of Electricians, so sparkies should head here to win more jobs and increase their cash flow.
Painters, who generally experience intense competition, should branch out to Ridgewood, where competition is lower than other areas in the city.
Cottesloe is an exciting opportunity for Plumbers – once again, with lower levels of competition that the Perth average.
“There are rivers of gold all over Perth… the key is looking in the right places. By targeting areas with less competition, Perth tradies can make some serious money,” says Mr Levitt.
